I've not yet taken the plunge, which isn't to say I won't, I just found out about the Elio 2 days ago and I've already spread the word to all of my local friends, everyone I work with, and basically anyone who doesn't run screaming from me when the first words out of my mouth are, "would you like to hear about the Elio?" Now just waiting to get paid and put some money down towards the purchase.
I've only seen a couple of posts in the Mississippi forum, which is a bit sad, I'd like to see more of my fellow "country-folk" in one of these, but perhaps, as Mississippi is the fattest state in the nation, my fellow Mississippians might worry the Elio is not well suited for us "bigger folk." (no offense to anyone else from Mississippi - I'm just being goofy).
Also, as stated above, I'm going to be moving to Alaska in 2 years, and I would love to be "trucking" (metaphorically) around in one. Alaska is not known for short commutes.
I'm going to have to post in the Mississippi and Alaska sections next.

Welcome to the ElioOwners.com forum from Atlanta, GA! :)

Glad you are excited about this very neat vehicle and have been spreading the good word about the Elio already. We are glad to have you here. You have joined a very diverse group of people from all over the country who really enjoy discussing everything there is to know about this interesting vehicle. I hope you enjoy your time here reading about and/or discussing all there is to know about Elio Motors.

When you do make your reservation we have a survey we like reservation holders to fill out if they wish as it really helps us visualize the growing numbers and locations of future Elio Owners. For now information visit this link: http://www.elioowners.com/threads/elio-reservation-map-and-survey.1129/

We also have a thread for our many current and former service members to introduce themselves. If that applies to you visit this thread:http://www.elioowners.com/threads/military-service.1118/

If you ever happen to have any issues while on this forum please be sure to notify a staff member as we are here to help.

I will unfortunately have to skip the military service threads (aside from reading aka lurking) as I've never been in the military. I absolutely revere those who do, but my health has never been conducive to being in the military. I shall, however, take you up on the aforementioned survey, when the time comes.

Hi and welcome from Oregon, Ian T. Lopp. As far as I know we have one member from Alaska who also spends part of the year in Idaho. His name is R8ORTWoody. I believe he also posts on Elio Owners Club forum (I think that is the name). There is one other member who hopes to travel to Alaska but I don't think he was planning on settling there and I don't remember who it is. I hope you enjoy this very exciting adventure and journey toward Elio production and ownership. Next year in our Elios. :-) Z
