My name "Folks" means just us plain old folks. Which is a spoof for the Name Volkswagen. The Volkswagen long ago lost it's way as per the original intent as car for all the people of Germany. Volkswagen translated is to say; a car for all the folks in Germany. Could it be we are watching the same phenomenon re occurring right before our very eyes in the Elio? Could it be we are 1931 revisited. Someone please be still my beating heart for I think I have the bug for this car Really bad. (pun intended)

Hi and welcome from Oregon, Folks. I think the bug condition must be contagious because I have the same problem. My first car was a VW convertible in the early 60s and now my next car is going to be an Elio. The ones in between don't even count. LOL I hope you enjoy the eccentric and very eclectic group on this forum as you explore and learn about the Elio. Next year in our Elios. :-) Z

Glad you are excited about this neat little vehicle. I do hope we are seeing something akin to the VW all over again as this vehicle is not only affordable to buy but even better it should be very affordable to own which is just as important. With over 90% of the parts being made the USA it is also providing much needed jobs to fellow hard working Americans which is always a good thing.

Welcome Folks to the forum and the Elio family. Here you will find the latest information on the development and production schedule for our Elios. I think the Elio is the peoples car for and that is one of the reason I believe in it. It offers those at the lowest level of the income ladder an opportunity to own a new reliable, affordable, safe and fuel efficient vehicle - a starter car if you will.
