Hello everyone!

I will be completely honest here...I am more into this vehicle for the fun-factor than the great gas mileage!

I am a biker starting with dirt bikes when I was 5 all the way to my Harley almost 40 years later, and this vehicle looks like it would be a fun form of transportation.

My Harley gets 40 mpg and with the mods I have made it is fun to ride but being as I work the nightshift, the night rides and early mornings are not real pleasant sometimes.

The Elio would, I mean WILL fill the need and make my 75 mile round trip more comfortable and hopefully just as much fun!

I currently drive a red '99 F150 and a red '07 Suzuki SX4 (fun little 5 speed) along with my '06 Harley Dyna. I really like red, but the pics I see of the Elio, I don't care for in red. Maybe with the fender skirts removed and some custom wheels to make it pop more...

Creamsicle is my favorite, but looks like everyone will be getting that color...of course you can always do some graphics to make it your own.

Maybe a silver and some paint to look like the paint on my Harley?

I am going all in next week...thinking about the $250 level just to get a little nudge in line. Can't do more at this time.

Welcome to the ElioOwners.com forum from Atlanta, GA! :)

Glad you have joined us here and have put down some of your hard earned money to make it happen. Just like yourself you will find that many of us are also fellow riders who are interested in this vehicle for the fun and all weather comfort just as much as the great fuel mileage and low price.

I am sure the color choices will even out to more normal patterns once these become available for the mass market instead of us early adopters who tend to be a little bit more outgoing with our choices such as creamsicle for the color.:D

You have joined a very diverse group of people from all over the country who really enjoy discussing everything there is to know about this interesting vehicle. I hope you enjoy your time here reading about and/or discussing all there is to know about Elio Motors.

We have a survey we like reservation holders to fill out if they wish as it really helps us visualize the growing numbers and locations of future Elio Owners. For now information visit this link: http://www.elioowners.com/threads/elio-reservation-map-and-survey.1129/

We also have a thread for our many current and former service members to introduce themselves. If that applies to you or you would just like to read about other members' service make sure you visit this thread and introduce yourself as we have quite a few veterans among us:http://www.elioowners.com/threads/military-service.1118/

If you ever happen to have any issues while on this forum please be sure to notify a staff member as we are here to help.

MASCMAN, welcome to the forum and for your decision to go "all-in". Sounds like the Elio will be a great vehicle for you and you lovely wife. Hope you find all the information you need about the Elio on the forum but be careful because it becomes addicting and the next thing you know you will be all in for a grand. Enjoy the Elio experience and this historic transportation journey

Hi and welcome from Oregon, MASCMAN. I hope you and your wife enjoy this forum and the many interesting people on it. It is a great way to pass the time as we wait for the production and ownership of our Elios. See you next year in our 2015 Elios. :-) Z

MASCMAN, welcome to the forum. A lot of different kind of drivers here. You fit just fine. Can hardly wait for an Elio myself.

Thank you everybody!

My wife has recently purchsed a 2012 Ford Escape. She is happy with her mpg improvement over a full size Murcury Mountaineer and it is a new and reliable vehicle we can take our trips in and load up with luggage.

The Elio is exactly what I want and need for my 75 mile round trip...looks fun to drive and will have tunes to get pumped up with! I absolutely love to ride my bike but there are only a handful of perfect night rides...feels more like a chore to get to work. Who wantsvthat? !

I dont really believe I will see 84 mpg as I am constantly going up and down hills so I am hoping it has the torque I need for those hills.

Good and bad news today.

Good news is that I am all in for $250...bad news is that I was going to do $500!

Daughter needed some textbooks for college by Monday...Penn State New Kensington Campus.

Wanted to take advantage of the bonus but at least I'm in and just a little bit ahead of the $100'ers!

CONGRATULATIONS and a great big WELCOME to our Elio Family Forum, from the Bayou State, and the future birth place of the Elio that we all seek: Louisiana!

It's great seeing the increased interest in this great little car, no matter what the reason may be.

I originally was doing 250 then talked myself into the 500...before I had to buy the books, so I guess I am still where I was originally planning.

Thank you for the welcome everyone!

Keep an eye on the plant music man and let us know when you see some activity!
