This summer the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA presented a 'Dream Cars' exhibit with a number of very rare and beautiful automobiles. There was even a very interesting little electric three wheeler built in 1942 in France.

now that's well worth a road trip .... folks from various parts of the country who pick their Elio up at the factory can really chart some interesting stops on their way home .. :)

Jim

Unfortunately this was only a temporary exhibit over the summer.

If you want a car museum that is a bit different and are in the Nashville area visit the Lane Motor Museum. This museum has a large collection of rare and unusual vehicles as well as many European cars which are unusual here in the States. It also features quite a few micocars which could be considered the early forerunners to the Elio.

Another interesting museum in the Southeast is the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum near Birmingham, AL. This one features a huge motorcycle collection as well as a bunch of race cars including many vintage Lotus models.

outstanding links .... hopefully we will be back on the road traveling in our camper in May .... we really enjoy visiting historic places and a range of museums .... if you can get to the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit -- http://www.thehenryford.org/ -- and Greenfield Village, plan on spending 3 days to go through the place .... its not just cars but there are plenty of cars there
