Sorry Vance, but Elio putting out a kit will not happen. You see in order to get the price down they MUST purchase components in large quantities. So a kit car would require more expensive parts and end up costing around $20,000 or more, and you would still have additional costs like paint.

Elio couldn't offer a kit because they have no ability to make them. You'd have to get a company like Factory Five to make the kits. The problem is, it's going to cost as much as building an 818. In the end, do I want to build a $20K three wheeler or 818? For some reason, people think that building a three wheeler is cheaper than a four wheeler.
