Thoughts on self driving readiness? Should it have the options for the hardware and get software updates later. This would be similar to the Tesla model 3.

Potential partners other than Tesla who might go for it... However Tesla could gain from the licenseing of their tech with zero danger from Elio so that would be the best partner.

From https://www.wired.com/2017/01/self-driving-cars-approach-auto-industry-races-rebuild/

"Mobileye, the largest supplier of cameras for self-driving cars, is now working with major industry supplier Delphi, plus Intel and BMW. It has entered a strategic partnership with mapping company Here (which Audi, BMW, and Daimler jointly bought in 2015). At the giant tech show, this coalition announced it would have autonomous test vehicles on the roads later this year."

Thoughts? Someday I would love to zip pas tragic in the fast lane while not driving... And not spending 30k or even 20k for a car that will only carry me and tare through miles...

I'm opposed to self driving it's one more thing that can be hacked by terrorists .

They were hacking Jeep Cherokee's UConnect Infotainment system a year or so ago, with the ability to kill the engine while you were driving down the road. Hope they got that fixed because my wife drives one.
