I got in for $1000 on 9/1/14 with about 4 hours left on the 50% Bonus deal. My commute to work is 70 miles. I drove a '95 Geo Metro 3-cylinder for 10 years ... it used to kill me to fill up for more than $10. The Elio 8 gallon tank will still be more than that but, MAN, I Can't Wait !!!

Congratulations and welcome from Oregon, JK. My first car was a 1962 or 1963 VW Beetle. I lived in Austin, TX in the mid 60s and at 25¢ per gallon, we could fill up for under $5. My how times have changed. LOL Like you, I can't wait to get my Elio so I can do some fun driving again without panicking about the cost of gas. In the mean time, enjoy this very informative forum with a diverse and interesting group of "residents". Just because it is a long journey doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy it. Z
