Sure. It would be easier to take a trip with someone if you could take a little more luggage. Maybe an aerodynamic hitch-mounted body-colored box.

Make it the color of flower pollen. Heck go all the way and lets put some vertical wide stripes on the back half of the body to emulate a honey be. Super cute.

That would be very functional and it could be designed in the same shape as the front fender and wheel fairing.

I've not seen any mention of or any pictures of a car top rack as another alternative. The rear satchels pictured here are very much in keeping with the low profile and aerodynamics of the Elio. Looks great too. But what if their were a critical need for even more carrying space on board the Elio. Suppose there are any roof racks that might minimize any added drag - handling characteristics and yet increase the capacity satisfactorily? Maybe a torpedo shape or something?
