I switched to all-in two weeks ago. It is the lowest entry point, but it is the best I could (and can) afford at the moment. Just landed a new job though. If all goes well, I will be able to pay most of my Elio in cash when it arrives. :)
PS -- I received my t-shirt already. The Elio guys...
Updated information on this article, per the Elio Motors Facebook page:
Elio Motors: Hey John, we responded to your other comment. We are in no way trying to "fib." There was a mistake in the article that you're linking to. Here's a copy of the response we gave on your other post...

Well, personally I plan on driving the Elio for all my commuting needs and weekly store runs. If I need to haul more people or more cargo, I can always call a taxi, or even rent a car for a day with the money I save on gas with the Elio. ;)
I agree wholeheartedly, Neal. However, money does talk. Maybe extra capital can grease a few wheels. Three wheels, to be precise. :P
Easiest solution of all though is just to up-sale to Elio to anyone willing to listen. (I'm only $100 in, but I saved a picture of the P4 to my phone to show...
I agree with Rick's posting. I am rather leery of such a young company even thinking of going public, as stock holders often mean board member roles filled with self-important, share-holding trustees. As I have seen many companies stray from their original goals by cow-towing to such boards, I...
Arg! I didn't make it out. The change of locations to Chandler was just a tad too far away for me. They went from right around the corner from work to one whole day of gas away (as calculated for getting to and from work in my current vehicle). Things are too tight at the moment to swing the...
Having very little money to take any risks on, I am only at the "I Want In" reservation level. Needless to say, your post gave me a momentary panic attack since my current vehicle is a loaner that I must return early next year. Wait more than two more years for my Elio? Say it ain't so!
So...
Well, that is a kind and loving post you quoted there. **dripping sarcasm** I certainly hope the apparent disagreement there got sorted out. If only Hitler had been accepted to art school.... As to this thread's posting though, I do agree. Grammar and spelling do have an impact on people's...
Update says it will be at Arizona Mills. .... I am going to try really, really hard to get there with a camera in hand and drag as many friends as possible. :)
I am seeing 10 mph increments on the speedometer, if I am not mistaken. It would make more sense to me if it was in 5mph increments, but it isn't. ... Heck. Put it in 5mph increments and change the color to anything but white and I might like this dash. Unfortunately, white will be nigh...
Okay. I can agree with that logic. Now, I just want to know who thought it prudent to tack that silly bit onto the bill. I don't think the Elio could do the figure eight as tight as the state motorcycle endorsement requires...so I am going to have to learn to ride a motorcycle just to get my...

Exactly my thought. That is like saying you can't drive your drunk buddies home after a party even though you never drank a drop, because a drunk passenger is dangerous and might distract you.
Ditto to this thought. My brothers are very tall and I would love for either of them to be comfortable sitting passenger on road trips. Plus, a few extra inches of trunk space might prove the difference between being able to fit a small ice chest back there for said road trips or not.
I have seen cars sold out of a mall in my state...and new cars sold outside of Costco for that matter. :P Long story short, I prefer to have a little faith that Elio Motors will treat us right. If not, I have at least shown support for a concept car I feel is sorely needed.
Mayhaps they are counting on reserving a whole year's production up front, shipping those custom builds straight from the factory, all while building their public dealerships? Heck. It would take that many reservations to build that many locations at once, one would think.
