No one has said it yet in this thread, but electricity rates are considerably more stable. We are currently paying 6.6 cents/kWh, which works out to $5.28 every 300 miles.
Wish I could say there are some good deals on EVs at the moment, but there are not. A local dealership offered us $2k less...
In hub motors are not a particularly good choice for vehicles:

This article was from 11 years ago, still haven't solved it.
The Elio...
I didn't read all 12 pages, but this is clearly a play by Elio to take advantage of the tax credit, especially with talk of increasing the rebate. They tried for the ATVM loan before, so it's not a new play so-to-speak.
They may garner some interest again, but I think the majority of people who...
Yes, we're in MN. We only put our home on the market because the seller of the house we walked away from wouldn't accept a contingent offer without our house being on the market. I didn't want to be in this situation either...and if the seller had been more forthcoming about the state of his...
That's how it is everywhere. We sold our house within 5 hrs of listing, and for $50k above asking price, sight unseen. Unfortunately, the house we were going to buy ended up having stucco issues that the owner basically wasn't willing to acknowledge so we had to walk away. We have found another...
Yes, I have the 20" wheels because I like the look, but the ride is noticeably stiffer than our Model 3 on 18"s. Makes for fun driving in the corners, but wouldn't mind a slightly softer ride. There are aftermarket suspension options that can help, but I'm not interested in putting the money...
Nice choice. We really like our Model Y, though the Model X has a better ride. I much prefer the size of the MY to the MX, however. I think if the MY had an air suspension it would be darn near perfect.
Not sure I can say definitively that it's a scam based on that exchange. However, I would NOT take payment via PayPal, because cars are not covered under buyer/seller protections. Certified check or cash, or nothing.
I agree, I've always prefered smaller hatchbacks. I don't really get this proclivity for Americans to purchase these relatively large CUVs or Pick-up trucks to drive as commuter vehicles. Makes no sense.
We're waiting on the Model Y 7-seater to see if the 3rd row is actually usable, but we're...
I believe it's specifically being designed for the Chinese market. Hopefully, it will also make its way here...but the small vehicle market has really been drying up in the States.
I would just like to point out that this vehicle's range has not been rated by the EPA. Its motor is rated at 60hp, and the vehicle weighs 2280lbs...the dealer website does not list a 0-60 time.
As a reference the Arcimoto FUV has an 81hp motor and weighs nearly 1,000lbs less, and a 0-60 of...
I haven't seen that comparison, but I can't imagine it being that different from a Can-Am Spyder. The FUV is taller, but the center of gravity should be similar.
As a former motorcycle rider, you just have to get over it. The FUV has an electronically limited top speed of 75 mph and a 0-60 of 7.5 seconds, which is plenty to keep up with Hwy traffic. To be honest, I kinda find this comment at odds with the entire idea of the product this forum represents.
You aren't qualified to make a "best judgement" decision. That's why there are doctors, surgeons, engineers, pilots, lawyers, etc. Or, perhaps you consult yourself instead of specialists in these areas?
This is what I mean by arguing beside the point.
No one thinks that a healthy person wearing a mask helps to reduce transmission. What a "healthy" person does by wearing a mask it to help stop transmission before they know they are unhealthy. Of course, anyone showing symptoms should also wear...
For the umpteenth time, masks are there to protect others...not yourself. I know you're looking for any justification for your non-mask wearing stance...but the continued argument that masks don't protect the mask wearer aint the one you're looking for.
Follow CDC guidelines, or just accept...
If you want something unusual and quirky buy a Mitsubishi i-Miev.
The one I linked to is only $5400, and located in IL. It might take you 2 weeks to drive it home...but you have to admit it's different!
