Nice, I have a 686 with 6" barrel, stainless, not a "PLUS" though.
"PLUS" doesn't really matter. If someone points either of them at you, do you really care if they have 6 or 7 shots? A friend of mine, when I was shopping for a home defense pistol told me, "If you ever have to point a gun at someone, make sure it's big enough that they can hear themselves echo down the barrel". Made sense to me!;)

I like that open carry is "OK" in TN. I will not open carry, gives up the suprize advantage and can unnerve some people. But, it means if it prints or my shirt rides up, no big deal ! Also ,due to the class requirment, our permits are honored by most all other states with CCW. The ones without CCW are out of my general travel plans anyway :)

I found this today. For about $700 this company is about to start offering a compact, pump gasoline powered flamethrower and it is apparently legal to own in 48 states (not legal in CA of course along with Maryland ). I am not really sure what I would really do with it however the 10 year old boy in me really wants one!:D The adult in me wonders if I could actually own one of these for long without setting my property on fire and/or ending up in jail.

In TN, you have to take a course to get a carry permit. Then, you have to go to a range and pop off 50 rounds of ammo (you're aiming at a 2'' hole by the end of that) at a target.. A friend I've known since middle school is certified as a carry permit, and homeland security course instructor. I don't carry, but since I've known somone so long (we used to party together ) that can certify me, I think I may do it, just in case. In TN, it does not have to be "concealed". Once a permit is aquired, you can wear a six shooter on your hip just like Festus on Gunsmoke if you want to. Here, you get a carry permit, and "concealed" is not written into the law. Most everyone does conceal, just to avoid confrontation, but you don't HAVE too.
TO ALL VETERANS: Florida will issue you a conceal carry permit without attending any course or going to the range if you send them a copy of your DD-214. I know that because they did it for me.

New Mexico open carry rules require the weapon to be visible from three sides. It cannot be covered by a shirt, jacket, etc. If it is covered you must have a CCW permit.

CA is definitely not a gun friendly state. In GA you pretty much just walk in, fill out a form, show your ID, get electronic fingerprinted for identity verification, and pay $72.50. It takes about two weeks for background check to clear, the license to be printed, and the mail to deliver it to your home. Renewals are even easier as every five years you go in, fill out half page form, show your ID to verify you are still breathing, pay $30, and once again wait about two weeks for the new license.

Its almost a year long process to get one here finger prints and two different background checks 16 hours of training and an interview. You can only have 3 guns on your permit. Cost are about 450$ in total. Its good for 2 years. It is cheaper when you reapply. I want one for the obvious reasons but also to show not every person in CA is communist anti gun person.

Oh on top of all this could all be for nothing if pending court decisions is overturned. So its not 100% guarantee of anything.

I had to send mine back to adjust the front sight (under warranty) and it cost me $35 to ship it back & forth but she came back nicely cleaned! And no thats not a mirror image of it.
