Update On My Ayro 311 Reverse Trike & Something Went Horribly Wrong!

It is not necessarily a lemon. One part is bad, and once replaced the vehicle could be years trouble-free (a big unknown). They just don't seem to be very competent finding what is wrong. I would have been willing to trade -in for a different make/model and pay a few thousand more for an electric golf car, but everything they have is an LSEV (low speed electric vehicle), which all go 25 MPH max.

Nothing currently on the market is equivalent/comparable to the AYRO 311. This is why I keep waiting!!!

Regardless, you got yourself a lemon. But if you don't mind the hassle and the waiting but you still want to keep it, then sooner or later they'll get it right. No company wants somebody on their ass nagging them all the time. Do give them a firm deadline or else...

It's my personal opinion (for whatever it's worth) that you have been swindled. After this much time it's obvious they don't care if it gets fixed. Basically they are daring you to do something about it. Trying to replace cheap electronics to repair an obvious mechanical issue is just a way to drag this out hoping you will give up.

I seriously doubt they think I will "give up". You mean quit calling and forget about it? LOL. I could easily afford to totally give up and forget about it and take the $8500 loss. But it is the principle of the matter to me.

My only regret is I wish I had gone down there and taken a test drive, in which case it likely would have broke down then, and I would have gotten a different one instead.

It was four (4) miles! BTW: My son & wife & kids went from Portland, OR to Calgary & back in their Tesla a while back, no problems.

I'm glad I'm not in your shoes, I would come undone in the middle of the show room.
Get in touch with a local new TV channel and tell them about it, we have a station here that just loves stories like this.
If you have a station like that, use it, they love embarrassing places like that, and the TV News always has a bigger impact,
people like to watch things, and not just hear about them. I feel for you man, your between a rock and a piece of shit.
Keep us informed as to what is happening, we'll be your cheering section. And as for a lawyer learn to make friends with one,
they are great friends to have, but remember to keep your nose clean so it doesn't blow back in your face.

Sounds like the dealership is small (golf carts mostly) and the Ayro is more of a toy for the OP. Therefore he is handing it calmly, which is good. Life is too short to take too serious all the time.

True true, and he thought it would be a breeze to handle them, little did he know........
Any first run car/trike/motorize transportation is always going to have growing pains.
He's probably wishing he never got involved with them........... hey, live and learn.
