Breaking news!. (12/11/18) Elio still does not have financing. ElioCoin is still not available. Elio still is under orders from the SEC to remain quiet. Elio still has not resolved the legal issues in Louisiana.Three days and no one has anything new to say about the Elio..... Isn't that just a little sad?
It isn't a "little" sad, it's a lot sad. Still, there is hope.
Is this where we insert the "It is always darkest before the day dawneth" quote?
Technically, this is not true in the literal sense. But I DO hope it is true in the metaphorical sense in the case of our beloved Elio!

The Elio From A to Z

Happy Friday Elio’ers! This is the season for many things, from holiday cheer to spending quality time with family to lists. We’re not talking about gift lists or lists of things to do, but a good old fashioned end of the year list. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the Elio, from A to Z.
A- ABS Brakes- As part of the Elio Safety Management system, the Elio comes standard with an anti-lock brake system.
B- Base Price-A commitment to a low base price without skimping on what modern drivers expect in their vehicles.
C- Creamsicle- We offer seven different color options in the Elio, and based on current results, our orange Creamsicle looks to be one of the most popular.
D- Defrost- Along with air conditioning and heat, defrost comes standard in the Elio.
E- E-Plus- As part of our mission to make an “option” an actual option by getting rid of option packages, ePlus will make sure Elio drivers have only the extras they want.
F- Front wheel drive- FWD will help the Elio drive in snowy conditions.
G- Gas mileage- At up to 84 MPG on the highway and 49 in town, the Elio’s gas mileage is going to help both the environment and your bottom line.
H- Highway speeds- The Elio will reach speeds in the triple digits! Not saying we recommend it or that we will pay for your ticket, but the capability is there.
I- Interior dimensions- Find them below!
Headroom: Driver 39.8” Passenger 36.4”
Seat width: Driver 20.6” Passenger 25.3”
Interior Shoulder Width: 27.8”
Front seat Legroom: 42.7”
Rear seat Legroom: 33.1”
J- Jumper Cables- If you ever need to use your jumper cables in your Elio, the battery is located under the rear seat.
K- Key- The standard Elio key will be a regular old, twist and turn key.
L- Licorice- The name for the black Elio, which is also the color of the E1c!
M- Manufacturing- Our goal is to create approximately 1,500 manufacturing jobs at our plant in Shreveport, Louisiana.
N- Number of reservations- To date, we have over 65,000 future Elio owners on board!
O- Overall length- The overall length of the Elio is 160.5”, like many other vehicles on the road today.
P- Prototypes- We are through the prototype phase and in the Engineering Vehicle phase, but each prototype shows the evolution of the Elio design.

R- Retail centers- Our plan is to have Elio Motors retail centers in the top 60 Us markets! Check out the map below:
S- Stability control- Both stability and traction control come standard in the Elio.
T- Trunk- The trunk space is 7″ x 14″ x 10″, so enough for a few bags of groceries. If you want to go golfing, the rear seat folds down for extra space!
U- Unibody- As in, our unibody frame, which enhances the safety of the Elio.
V- Visibility- Even though the Elio does not have a rearview mirror, our configuration coupled with the positioning of our side mirrors provide the driver with excellent rearview visibility!
W- Warranty- The Elio comes standard with a 36,000-mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty.
X- Xtra time and money- We know, we know, this one is a bit of a stretch. But in reality, with our designation, time in the HOV lane will save you time and our superior fuel economy will save money
Y- Yellow- Believe it not, there is a vocal minority that really wants yellow to be a standard color. To keep costs down, we’re sticking to the current selection of seven colors, but a yellow wrap will be available.
Z- Zero to sixty- The Elio will go from zero to sixty in under ten seconds.
