True, shall we rename it? Or just let it slide?
Why not make a knife thread?
this thread is in the General Discussion area in a thread entitled " Guns And Stuff Related" .... hunting knives or knives in general could easily fall within the "Stuff Related" provision or a new thread could be created
I think of gun related stuff as accessories, like scopes, suppressors, etc.

Quick.....get a rope :p

I STILL haven't bought a new gun this year..........I better hurry, time is running out....the years AND mine :D
Dunham's has the Taurus G2C 9mm on sale for $219 today and tomorrow only.
I've got the Millenium 111 G2 (almost completely identical - just the previous iteration) in 9.
I love it. It fits like a glove, has been extremely reliable and accurate and has hardly any recoil.

Not anymore. They changed to a shorter term guarantee on any new guns sold about a year ago.
I'm not sure if it's one or two years now. Easy to look up though. Just a head's up because most don't know that.

I broke the trigger spring on my 809c after firing and additionally working it in by a few thousand dry (snap cap) fires. The spring (the only part that was corroded) rusted before I bought the gun while it sat in the warehouse.

Unless the cost of a couple tiny springs and shipping is absolutely ridiculous, I'm going to buy the springs and install one myself.I've read countess stories of three month+ turnaround times. Besides, I like what I have and don't want to risk it by shipping it cross country.

Thanks for the update. Just looked on their site........Lifetime for guns "in production" prior to January 1, 2017.
Makes you wonder if quality control is lacking ??
Well, I have 3 Tauraus's and I'm happy with all of them.

Around here hunting is 100 to at best 300 yards for the most part. I let my skills at longer distance shooting fade over the years. Even put my M24's away years ago along with some others .
Awhile back I decided purchase a Ruger RPR in 6.5 Creedmoore. Outside my norm as I tend to stick with common calibers and most Military ones. I have only had the chance to use it on targets at 500 yards so far . It is child's play with this weapon if you do your part.
I have not shot 1000 yards in years but hope to get the chance soon with this RPR. I have a friend that shoots one 1500 yards.

A follow up on Taurus.
This year they've come out with a few new models.
That Spectrum.380 looks like something to stay away from.
However, the TH9 (an upgrade of the PT809) looks and reviews well.
They also have a tracker in .357mag/38special that comes with a 9mm cylinder.
And they have a new raging series with a lot of bells and whistles. All with 1 year warranties.
I was fortunate to get an 809 and 809c w' lifetime warranties. Broke a trigger spring, but I love them.
I also have a stainless 7RD .357mag and a black .44mag 4" tracker. Light, balanced and ported = less rise..
