traditionally we keep our vehicles for at least 10 years .... my wife's Trailblazer is well over that and we plan to keep it .... it will be her going to down town Raleigh and when child safety seats are need car .... on March 31st she bought a 2016 Camaro RS 2LT .... it is a beautiful rig .... in the pictures it looks black but it is what they call Night Shad Gray .... pretty close to the color of our '02 Duramax .... yesterday we drove it from home to Asheville and back to visit my Mom, she handles like a dream, rides really well, with a 330 some HP V6 she has plenty of power to handle the hills .... hand figured, 32+ mpg .... loaded with features, I love the AC seats .... naturally its raining, when we get a new vehicle it always does

And I very carefully pull out all of the LED trim tape on the interior and send it to me.
You can tell you're insurance that it was stolen, and that's they only damage you can see ;)

330hp from a V-6; amazing what they can do now.

Back in the late 60's into the early 70's HP like that was what you found in muscle cars.
Buick GS 400----------340@5000
Camaro Z-28 350-------360@6000
Corvette 427 Tripower-435@5800
Chevelle SS 454 LS-6--450@5600
Ford 427 Dual Quad----425@6000
Fairlane 390 GT-------335@4800
Olds 4-4-2 400--------350@4800
Plymouth/Dodge 383----335@5000

Even more amazing to me is the fact that modern engines are simultaneously more powerful and much more fuel efficient than the muscle car era engines. In the 1970's the only cars which could achieve 30+ MPG were the little Toyota and Honda economy cars with their tiny engines. We would be hard pressed to find a 1970's car with 300+ HP which could also achieve over 12 MPG on the highway.
