I have this helmet and if need be I'll set it on the rear shelf for emergencies.

Welcome to the forum and the military service thread. Thanks for your service and as an infantryman in Vietnam I loved the B-model Huey gun ships and then the Cobras. From what I've seen, you can get at least two helmets in the back area, maybe four.

I will carry a lightweight plastic helmet to wear when passing through ignorant states that require a helmet when driving an Elio.

Bluetooth connected headset (integrated audio and phone)

Of course, it is a $1400 helmet, so it would be quite an option. Plus it's not available till next summer. But if Missouri never gets off the stick to change legislation (and really, getting the Missouri legislature to do anything about anything other than protecting puppy mills is a tough haul) I may have to invest.

Pretty darn neat tech.

An option to consider if there is ever an Elio convertible. Cool and a little Darth Vaderish!

Wearing a heavy helmet while 'seat-belted in' (without some sort of head/neck restraint) can be MORE DANGEROUS, than no helmet!
