That may be true with apples, just don't try and make a pie with Delicious apples just because you don't have Granny Smiths. The results will be somewhat less than satisfactory. Likewise you go to a dealership to make a deal to buy a car. You go to the Elio store to buy an elio, much the same as you might go to Macy's or Lord & Taylor to buy your wife a new dress. A Store. You don't haggle with the salesperson. One price fits all!! An Elio store.

Again, what the hell is the big deal calling this a motorcycle..26 of the 52 states require helmets. According to Elio only 5 of them will require a helmet to be worn while driving this product.. But in all 52 it will be titled, registered and most likely insured as a motorcycle.. Deal with it, get your endorsement..In those 5 states solicit your dmv to not require a helmet when an enclosed motorcycle has a seat belt installed.The bottom line is it is a motorcycle with a steering wheel instead of handle bars.. If I happen to be traveling through one of those 5 states I'll wear a quarter helmet, perfectly legal, light weight and looks like a ball cap..Those of us who ride know that a helmet does not mean a full face , but for those who don't here are your options, full face, full helmet , half helmet and quarter helmet which weighs a fraction of a full and is very comfortable and again LEGAL..

Maybe one day the big 3 or 4 will put some kind of restrictions on their dealers for false price advertising.., slipping phony government fees on back end of pricing, doc fees, adding 10 percentage points on interst to people with a few dings over what they actually can get it through the bank for them ( banks are just as guilty for letting them), service departments that find 20 things wrong when a bad battery or dirty battery post is the only problem..Todays dealers need someome to come in showing folks that there is a difference between making an honest profit over trying to make a fucking fool out of customers..Yep, I said the F word..AGAIN

I'm not yet sticking up for Elio, If they start the same bs add ons like dealers, not just car dealers , atv ,boat and motorcycle dealerships try that crap ( most of them are owned by car dealer groups now days ) it will be a long day at the negociating desk for them, to date i've not paid any of this crap but instead of one trip to the dealership i've left and for 3 or 4 days listening to them calling every 10 minutes .. but My record remains.Just because they have a 1000 dollar deposit does not give them the upper hand, we can get our money back if price is changed..

Apple PC's are OK but no good in my line of work.. I go online with PLC's and all my programs are not available for Apple and must be PC's..

If you simply solicit your DMV to waive the MC endorsement to drive an Elio the helmet issue is resolved too.......a win, win. For those of you that ride it's not a big deal. For this old geezer (and the majority of other geezer or non-geezer Elio customers) it makes no sense to require me to pay $105.00 and spend 22 hours of my time in a classroom to learn how to DRIVE a motorcycle safely when I'm not riding the typical cycle which in fact requires special skills. Obviously, it's good that it's not a big deal for you, but it's a common sense issue and a very big deal for me. Personally, if I am required a MC endorsement I won't buy an Elio, but it sounds like Elio is working to fix the issue.........so not to worry.

I don't know about Lit Motors, but Elio is definitely addressing the issue on a state-by-state basis. Leading the charge at Elio is Joel Sheltron, VP of Gov't Relations.

Lit Motors says they are working on the issue as well starting at the Federal level. Go Joel!
