This seemed to be an ongoing topic in a different thread.
So here's a new thread just for those talking about a different kind of option for the Elio, Wing Windows.

So with no further intro needed; here's your new space.

Wing windows were great, but I offer this idea as a potential ELIO aftermarket. Had one on a 1950 Chevy P.U. I restored, worked great.

Nice, but you have to buy at least 3....over $100 ..........I'm looking at this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00407CK5...=UTF8&colid=N1JS3S4MJMAW&coliid=I7B991G7UTAG9

So it's easy to break into cars again?
Wing windows (that was the "official" name for them) were a weak point in security; the latch was the culprit.
Yes, you could go to a power wing window but that would mean 2 additional motors, new glass for the wing, and new main window glass, and switches, and etc., and cost becomes the controlling factor again.
It's still a weak point because they're too easy to force open.

I've had break ins and each time (2) they just busted the window !!!!

As expected, FREE labor for Start Engine
