That's why I moved to Idaho after 63 years of SD winters. I like the 4 distinctly mild seasons here, when it snows it falls vertically and usually melts in 3 or 4 days. Sunny and high 40's today and the kids are shooting baskets in shorts.
Sweet,
Is not Idaho the capital of the anti-government, loaded to the teeth, survivalists, who are waiting for the invasion in their air conditioned bunkers? ( lol or not?)

I've been out there once during early January .... lets just say it was educational .... I drove on a lake, saw "blowing and drifting snow," saw snow so dry that you could blow on it and it would reacted like powder, sat and watched it snow for hours with the snow blowing parallel to the ground, saw snow coming down so heavy that it was hard to see past the end of the hood of the truck .... we love it out there in the late spring, summer and early fall .... not so much during the winter

Not always true.

All share holders are stake holders. Not all stake holders are share holders.

Employees and local businesses can be stake holders and own 0 stock.

A good example is a sports bar that is located right next to a stadium. They would like to keep the stadium/team there because it increases business, but they have no ownership of the team.

Many people here are stake holders, but none are shareholders.

Its like saying a square can be called a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't a square
I was only pointing out the fact that "stakeholder" does not have the space in it...

That is not correct . In Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring , stock holders "can" lose everything , During Chapter 11 bankruptcy, bondholders stop receiving interest payments, If you are a bondholder, you may receive new stock in exchange for your bonds, new bonds or a combination of stock and bonds. What happened was bond holders lost value and the UAW ( which promised to vote for Obama) received a 17% stake in the reorganized company . People should go to jail .
That what I said in the original post. Equity gets squeezed out, debt gets converted to equity or gets a position well behind any new debt. But that's the point of bankruptcy.

A "stake holder" is a person holding a stake. A "stakeholder" is a "shareholder", which we are. I prefer to be a "steak holder" myself! LOL
Nope. A shareholder owns a piece of the company. A stakeholder doesn't. Technically speaking, a stakeholder only has whatever rights he or she can negotiate.

Winter in the valley is extremely mild, all four very distinct seasons. South Dakota sometimes went from harsh winters directly into hot summers missing my favorite season. Light snows usually melt within a few days. Higher elevations a winter wonderland with many top rated ski resorts within 15 minutes to an hours drive.
I haven't worn a winter jacket in the last 4 years and feel no need to escape to a warmer climate during the winter months. Summers are perfection on Lake Coeur d'Alene and is open water year round.
