Thanks for the search results, RU! I think I got a line on one with a new battery (Segway HT-i180) installed 11/14. It's about 3 hrs southwest of me, and if the weather doesn't turn to sh*t this weekend, I may swing down there Sat.

Her B-day isn't until May, but if I find a good deal on one, I may throw some snow tires on it and give it to her early.

Yes people need to take responsibility for their own actions. That includes people who sell loans. Nobody forces anybody to take a loan or buy a certain product, but when we are talking about a product that people actually need, like a car or a house, and throw in experienced sales people with no scruples and you have a recipe for what happened to my wife before we got married.
Dealership gave her a quote for a car payment that was, frankly, mathematically impossible. A $200 payment isn't going to pay off a $17,000 loan in 3 years. Like many people, calculating finance payments isn't exactly her strong suit and believed the car salesman. When the first bill came in, it was for nearly half of her gross income. She let them repo it and they sold it at auction for the court costs, leaving her on the hook for pretty much the full amount of the loan without even having the car. We wound up declaring bankruptcy 4 months after we got married.

That's one awesome looking BLT! But don't forget to swing by Pappy's Smokehouse and snag a rack of ribs on your way back to Fenton! Gotta get there early. They're usually sold out by 11am.

My 2 stepsons, the oldest a pharmacist always #1 in 8 years of higher learning, the youngest a dyslexic running the circulation department in our local newspaper. When my wife and I first got together, I threw out the tired "not learning social skills" argument. She responded with what social skills, violence, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy. My kids were, and are ( 13 year old daughter) home schooled ( officially "private schooled) and have very good social skills. They all started out in public school which ,I feel, gave them a good foundation in social interaction. Ultimately, our children's education is the responsibility of "us," the parents. Yes, it is true, it takes a real commitment (which I give great credit to my wife for) that many are unable to provide.
