The word "official" doesn't mean it hasn't been ran before. Believe me, it has ran. They know it will run and it is a ceremonial act. They may put on a new exhaust manifold and clean it up so that it is pretty for the media.

I think they will pull some data off the engine for the media and show it is an awesome engine. Then shut it down and hoot and clap. Then we will hear something about a few more tests need to be performed... and then we are on our way to soon have our Elios.

Friday 2/6 is the "official first start" ceremony. Of course the thing's been running for months (I think). So this opens up a few lines.

First, does anybody want to start a pool on exactly what day and time the engine (or one of its clones) first powers a vehicle?

Second, how about a prayer circle that nothing goes "clank" during the official first start?

Third, will this event actually be tied to any announcements of substance? If so, what do you think they might be. (Fantasies are NOT invited for this one)

Fourth, how many times will Paul begin a sentence with the word "so" during the ceremony?

Fifth, who will be the most important guests at the ceremony?

OK, gang, let's have at it!
I believe it will start with Paul stating. " So, I'm just here today so I don't get fined." Followed by the guest of honor Ichey Woods doing the Elio shuffle celebration.

I've been hearing about EM selling the equipment, but how long does it take? There can't be 1000s of buyers for the kind of stuff. What's the hold up? Have they actually put the stuff up for sale or waiting on something? Nobody really wants that stuff?
It takes as long as it takes. They can't force people to buy.

I hope it runs fine ,sounds good and exceeds expectations by leaps and bounds. But what ever it does I want the truth. The truth keeps me in the game.
Side step is a sure way to lose support.
