Hit with approximately 2 ' . No big deal . Media hypes these storms to get ratings and liberals blame it on Climate Change . Politicians over-react because God forbid one person dies from a storm related mishap, their career is over .
I've been around long enough to chalk this one up to simply NY Winter .

Way off topic, but I was checking out your avatar. The 'main drag' through town is Route 66 (Osage St. on the map). I live just up the hill in the distance, and down to the left. The other pic is from the top of the hill in the distance looking back. The bluff is the first thing I see when I go out the front door. Okay, back to the 'over hyped' weather in the northeast.:D

We hit 72 in Arvada, CO. today! Talked to my Mom in Moorhead, MN., they have no snow on the ground, 43 yesterday and 40 today. Sucks to live in the Northeast the last few days! You guys have had a crappy winter this year. Still waiting for the other shoe to drop here, as March is our worst month for snow!

What's snow? Oh yeah, that white stuff we see at the tops of the mountains.
It was mid 50's here and a light drizzle. We did have 72 last Saturday.
I'm only 20 miles away from Portland, and the temperatures here are always 5 to 8 degrees warmer in the summer, but 3 to 5 degrees colder in the winter.
Watching the Weather Channel you would think that the NE is about to be wiped off the map buried by snow.

OHIO is in the mid-west, I've been told. But, in case anybody cares; we had freezing rain this morning for husband's commute to work, same as yesterday. Yesterday we had blue skies which was nice, but today it's back being dark, ugly and presently inch size snow falling ! Monster Snow !!! Temps hoovering 0.
Glad to be preppers. Too sick to try to shovel. Neither it's the stomach flu or I got poisoned with bad spinach hummus I brought home from the Mediterranean Deli near Eastwood Mall. Been down for two days now and lost 5 pounds. YEA!

Just an update. Daughter had to come over and do my chores for the past few days. What ever this is, it's kicked my butt. Husband will help me tomorrow. I am feeling better but still dizzy and some times confused. Plan to visit VA doctor Monday morning.

Congrats on the 5#, sucks the way you had to loose it. Hope your feeling better.
We have a cold front with snow moving in Friday afternoon and should see a few inches of white stuff on the ground when it's over. Good news is we'll be back in the low 50s by Monday.:)

Years ago in the Texas panhandle, howling northerly winds could turn 4" of snow into a blizzard. I drove to work on north-south streets before daylight and found little snow on the ground. The guy I relieved on duty walked out of our downtown offices and turned left onto a cross street and couldn't find his car. It was buried under a 6' drift. So that's where all the snow went!

Several of us poked around for about ten minutes trying to find it before digging it out. Nowadays I'd rather have winter precip delivered as the self-shoveling kind . . .otherwise known as rain. :)
