Jebar's 2015 Nascar Thread

Don't get me started on Danica Patrick. She sucks at driving. The only big race she won was when she drove in Indy. She is a huge marketing machine, but if you look at her numbers, they are on par with guys you never hear of. With that being said, she could win a restrictor plate race....hell Trevor Bayne won at Daytona.

I will root for Jr....but we all know there are better drivers. I hope Jr can build on last year.

As much as I dislike Kyle Bush, he is one hell of a driver and is one of the view that looks like he is always driving hard.

Only reason I want Danica to succeed is because she's SHR. I'm a Stewart fan. I've tried not to be as he does stuff that's hard to take, but I still keep gravitating back to rooting for him.

I sure hope the info below from NASCAR.com is more than hype .... if so, it will be good to see a highly motivated Tony back on the track :

"It's given me more drive and desire to go back and get back to the old form that our fans and our sponsors are used to seeing. I'm looking forward to it. This is probably the most prepared I've been in awhile for a season to start." "

as a driver, I believe I'd enjoy a road course .... as a fan I prefer an oval with several good lanes that allow passing

anyone else watch the NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony tonight ? .... I was really happy to see Fred Lorenzen inducted into the Hall of Fame but was a bit saddened to see him in a wheelchair, apparently unable to deliver his acceptance speech ....

I agree with needing more road tracks, If I'm attending a race, an oval makes more sense since you see more of the track, not just sit a corner and watch cars go by like you would on a road course. But for pure racing, I would prefer to see left and right turns, big curving turns, followed by short tight turns. I root for Denny Hamlin, in the #11, but then I work for FedEx, his main sponsor, so I guess I'm biased. (Although I would like to see a pay raise, more then all that money spent on corporate sponsorship of sporting events, although I realize that its all about advertising.)

Upcoming 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series- February 14th 2015 8:00PM on Fox Channel. I am exciting about to watch the NASCAR race this year.
