Hello Elio'ers! This week's tour blog is coming from the Summit Mall in Birmingham, AL and oh, what a warm welcome we received! Not only was the weather perfect for an outdoor event, but the turn-out was nothing short of incredible. It was a futureliowners convention with more t-shirts from Elio Motors, Elio wear, and three different chapters of future Elio owners groups than we've ever seen before! They pulled up lawn chairs, and banners, and coolers like it was a tailgate party. The definition of southern hospitality, our fans in Birmingham were simply the nicest folks!
Like Russ. He brought the whole family from Helena and they stood in line nearly an hour for their individual turn in the drivers seat of the Elio to get a feel for the riding experience. Not because Dad wanted them to see his cool, new ride, but because all five of them are reservation holders! When asked how this came about, Russ humbly expressed "I see this as the best way to give my kids a solid head start as young responsible adults. With all the things they have to pay for: fuel, insurance, and maintenance while working and going to school; it gives me peace of mind knowing they are in a safe and reliable vehicle. It's all the good things a Dad wants for his kids and family."

We're really excited for our upcoming SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) stop. Although the event is not open to the public, it is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. SEMA also gives us an opportunity to learn about new and innovative products that may have potential benefits to us in the future.
We will have a public event in Las Vegas while we are there, so we hope you can stop by! We'll be on Driver's Talk Live Radio Show hosted by Rick Titus on Halloween. Come say hello in the Shelby Museum Parking Area from 9am - 12pm!
