Nice work Craig! As a legion member and taps player I see a lot of these spent shells go out to families. Having a keepsake made is a great idea. Keep up the good work.

Ya I'm the third youngest of our post and one of the few that can still hear
I'm a two time past commander, I too am the youngest, I think, at 58. It is a very small town.
At one time we had over 500 members. We have no bar for members to go and shoot the sh#t so membership is down to just above 25. I think when it hit's below 20, we will lose our charter and be dissolved.:(

Very sorry to hear that and I know many posts have closed or are struggling to stay open. In the last few years in the Atlanta area there has been a concerted effort to recruit younger veterans which I believe has begun making a difference. Younger veterans tend to be more active and have different needs and wants so in my opinion both the Legion and VFW need to work on being more welcoming to the newer generation of veterans as it really is in their best long term interest to bring in some new blood.
