Thanks! I probably should have added a middle brace just above and behind the drivers head to complete the roll cage. On the other hand maybe that should be an installable/removable option.
What do you think about the mags? At the time I designed them I was looking to do something a little different.
I did get 'different' at least.

Exposure? I like the gray version you did in 3Dwarehouse, fendered w/exposed outers. And as for wheels. Always did like Truespoke wheels. They look cool on just about anything.

And the BBS rims (got a set just like these for the 914) look pretty cool too....and weigh about half as much as the Truespokes.

The True Spokes in 15" would be stellar! :) teamed Michelin 205's :D

I've come up with a problem for the TrueSpoke, are there any examples of FWD fitted rims? FWD offsets are 40mm-60mm the reverse from RWD. The BBS's diamond pattern were easy because FWD versions exist. But what would a spoke version look like? I feel it best to represent what these would really look like.
I could design my own thought about that, but you wouldn't be able to buy one of those on the market.

==OK== I found some. Not as impressive as the deep dish RWD versions but acceptable.

You learn something every day! According to Truespoke's website, all their wheels are for "rear wheel drive" only. o_O
That's okay, I like the look of the BBS's you did. Plus, real BBS rims are super lightweight. Good for the mpg and handling!:)

I've been contacted by one of the 3D printers I looked into, he said the Elio3D .skp design was too complex for his printer. could you hollow out the shell and close it up ( bottom) and post it? it would be for a keychain size model anyway. thanks..
Sure. By this week fer sure.

Hi AriLea, I hate to be such a nuisance.. the guy got back to me on it.. if you could just prepare a shell.. no glass, no details ( no mirrors) and just a simple axle to connect the wheel covers and visible 1/2 of the wheels it would help .
I have been working with Sketch up this week and had a hard enough time with basic boxes. ( kitchen remodel).
I can't even imagine complex curves and surfaces.. thanks so much for all you are doing!
