Hey thanks, sort of reminds me of buying my first Pontiac Solstice in 2006; lots of talk and camaraderie. One ? if anyone has answer: to check air pressure in tires, I understand entire fender must be removed to get to tire stem. Is this correct?
I just assumed the tires will be mounted in the reverse direction so the stem is on the inside of the wheel. I may be wrong but I can't see why that would be a problem as long as the people installing the tires realize that is what needs to be done. I will be curious to read the response to your question. :) Z

Became an "all in" today after several hours researching the Elio. Appears to be a fantastic ride. I live in Seabrook just minutes from NASA halfway between Houston and Galveston on Clear Lake minutes from the bay.
WELCOME & CONGRATULATIONS, BADBOY, from the Bayou State; Louisiana! :)

Know the "Clear Lake" area very well; I've done many "Saturday morning bike rides" with the gang from the "Bike Barn" shop there. Do you ride at all?

Welcome to the forum BADBOY from Missouri. :) As for your question, "I believe" that the valve stems will be accessible from the inboard side of the fenders, so removal of the fenders won't be necessary to check/add air. There's some pics taken by someone on the site, might have been Husker1 (above) that took some really good pics of the front suspension during a showing in Broomfield, CO. I'll have to do a little search to find the pics I'm thinking of. In the mean time, the search function is a real valuable tool to answer just about any question you can think of. And feel free to comment on anything you come across perusing the site.
Thanks! Stem placement should be easy and I know they have considered prior to placing fenders. Appreciate anything you find and will try the search button. I'm not the sharpest blade in the drawer with 'puters.

Welcome badboy from North Texas Elio Fan...
Plenty of research and comments here!
Enjoy and hold on... So far it's been a wild ride... It can only get better!
Shout at us if you get your Elio up and around Dallas area. Will put the coffee on for you!
See this is what I love about Texans..friendly. As a Native born Texan, I always want to reach out to others and just be NICE!! ok enough. Not sure if Elio will be something to ride hundreds of miles in..my Solstice definitely was not.

TBH, bicyclists terrify me. Many just do not follow laws & have had several run red lights in my presence. Know it isn't all but..I had a bike when I was 14 but got 1st car & only other ride was when a hot girl talked me into it.

"TBH?" Please explain.

Yes, Sir. . . .I agree with you, Some 160 pound bicyclists, LIKE MANY 2500 pound motorists, feel that they, and ONLY THEY, own the right of way on the road. Respect, like most all roads, are "2 way."

Ya know, BADBOY, I think those great big HUGE bicyclists are really something to fear. . . . . A REAL threat to those 2500 pound automobiles. Respect them, BADBOY, because while some of them will do stupid things in traffic from time to time. . . . They DO have equal rights with you while out on the road.

Share it.

Thanks! :)
