Elio Motors @ Sema 2014

So I noticed that Elio Motors has now officially added the SEMA Show to the list of events. I had suspected Elio Motors would be at SEMA as they already had a Las Vegas mall event scheduled the weekend before and that date was too close to this major auto industry event for it to be a coincidence.

For those of you who do not know what SEMA is: SEMA stands for the Specialty Equipment Market Association and The SEMA Show is the largest automotive specialty products trade event in the world. It is held annually during the first week of November at the Las Vegas Convention Center and is the second largest single event of the year in Las Vegas with over 100,000 people in attendance from all over the world.

FYI.. This auto show is not open to the public. Registration as media, manufacturer, buyer or exhibitor is required.

I had already been debating a return visit to SEMA as I always enjoy this event and it also takes place just a few days after Halloween which makes for even more fun times in Las Vegas. This confirmation of Elio Motors at SEMA has pushed me off the wall and I have begun preliminary planning for my fourth visit to SEMA.

I've been to that a few times 'back in the day'.

(Don't forget to file an absentee ballot.)

Luckily voting is easy for me as my county generally begins early voting several weeks ahead of a general election. Your message reminded me to check and my county begins early voting on October 13 this year. I may even choose to do it on that date as that happens to be my birthday. :)

Well my schedule has been flipped upside down and instead of Las Vegas I will be in Kentucky and miss SEMA this year. :(

For anyone who does get to visit SEMA bring your camera, or nice camera phone, because a little birdie has told me that the fully assembled engine will hopefully be on display before they take it back to the lab and put it on the dyno. :)

I'm really getting all pumped up about this upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas which will run from 10/30- 11/7 because EM and it's ELIO trike will be displayed to thousands of automotive businesses. It's one of the biggest conventions that attracts 60,000 + buyers (source : goggle). But the more exciting part is EM will be sharing new information at that time! (comment made by EM that I read in Facebook...I think? Correct me if I'm wrong.) Now I'm guessing, will they surprise everybody by displaying the newest P5 (not for tour duty) with it's brand new spanking IAV motor? Or will it be the same creamsicle that they've been hauling all over the country? Unfortunately the show is closed to general public but it'll be covered by all media source.;)

SEMA show to me is just for the new products to be shown off to your competition. Bragging rights.
Elio should be hitting on the PUBLIC 24/7 if they want SALES. Those rich boys at SEMA have their own toys.
