it is really interesting to see the diversity of interest among the folks in this forum .... we are both retired and enjoy traveling the country in our camper for 6 - 7 months a year .... we've now been to all of the lower 48 where we have found many places we want to visit again and some others that we are glad we went once but have no desire to ever see again .... while traveling we enjoy visiting historic sites and beautiful scenery .... I enjoy fishing and in recent years have really come to enjoy trolling for walleye .... my wife is much more creative and enjoys a wide range of hobbies .... we have three grandchildren that we enjoy visiting and spoiling

That sounds like a lot of fun, I've always pondered doing that when I retire.

we have had a ball .... our Sportchassis gets 8 - 10 mpg on diesel .... our next 5th wheel may be a toy hauler in which we could transport an Elio .... the savings of going from 8 - 10 mpg burning diesel to 80 +/- mpg burning gasoline could mount up quickly

Hi all,
My lastest hobby here in Arizona, is cowboy fast draw shooting. We meet in Tucson
twice a month and dress in period garb. Competition includes shooting wax bullets using a 209 primer in .45 caliber. You shoot against all members of the club until you are eliminated. Great group, includes men, women and children. I can't wait to drive in with my Elio. Modern version of the cowboy and his horse. Hope everyone enjoys their Elio. The owners groups sounds like a great idea for organized rides and get togethers.

Dennis welcome to the Elio family and to the forum. Here you will find all the latest information and opinions on the Elio.

I try to get to our local range at least every other week but don' t do any competitive shooting. Enjoy the Elio journey and we look forward to your comments and opinions.

Because I can't afford the hobbies I really like, my hobby became designing and making stuff. Since 2002 it's been this 3wheel car thing(and in 1980's for a while). I play dedicated advocate. The Elio is going to allow me to adjust what I do from maker toward end-user.
When I was younger I used to love skiing, scuba, hiking, scenic driving. The Elio can enable all of that at a low cost, but maybe some sports only for one person. (get the trailer?) What is really cool about this forum, all of you guys want to do things too, so it's possible to coordinate with others and have some great outdoors events.
I like to go see in person. I think you do too. There's nothing like the sound of mountain wind in your ears at 10k ft on a mountain top. Of a waterfall at the apex of a canyon. The infinite sight of water surface play at 10ft depth. Being there in the moment. It's more than cool.

I'll no doubt still make stuff. Finish the Atlantric and move on.

Hi future Elio Owners...

Just wanted to know what hobbies future Elio owners have across the nation...

Mine is raising fish, Rainbow Trout in fact, because the books say you can't do it in a urban city... I have had them for over 3 years and they are still going strong... taste good too...

Just because they say it " Can't be done "... does not make it true!!

Kind of like starting a new Autocycle company from the bottom up...

I have about 50+ which are anywhere from 3-8 lbs. some of the big one's are about 28" long...8-? lbs...

I also do Aquaponics, which is growing food using fish waste water to grow plants.. View attachment 2060

This whole system cleans the water for the fish and feeds the plants at the same time...

RC Drone for taking pictures and videos of my Elio meets is my next new hobby...

So what are YOUR hobbies...

Proud to Be... an Elio owner #2225
Hobbies, well let's see. Mine are in degrees. The one I do some of is playing a tenor ukulele. Instrumental mostly and just for me. I really like my uke, spruce top, flame spalted maple body. I'm a legend in my own mind. I put most of my time in relief wood carving. I have been specializing in Children's Illustrated Story Books from the 1920s. Although, I'm going to do a study of an old Hindi lady for an upcoming art show. Expanding my horizons!
