Speaking of eco-cycles. Here's an interesting one to remember. The Horlacher GL88.

This was a BMW concept similar to the Tracers that I hoped would come to production. Perhaps Elio's success will make some of the Big Auto guys rethink some of their previous concept vehicles.

The 2014 BMW i3 electric is around $45K..........technically they could build a two wheel enclosed cabin autocycle concept for less..........if there was a market for this class of vehicle. BMW has had 3 or 4 tilting three wheeler concepts............all retired to the BMW Museum.



and the latest BMW Three Wheeler Tilter EV Concept: BMW could jump into the luxury market. Obviously won't hurt Elio Sales in the slightest. Fun to think about.

I remember seeing the 'EcoMobile' back in the 80's-90's on a TV program called, "Beyond 2000". Now they are called 'MonoTracer' and made in Switzerland by Peraves; -- http://peraves.wordpress.com/ --

I saw the same Program........and that's what got me interested in enclosed cabin motorcycles and happened across the CarverOne shortly after. Vaporware Concepts galore, and still nothing affordable on the market after all the years.
