I'm 35. Does that make me the younger demographic?
Jim, welcome from one of the "mature individuals". the forum will provide you all the information you need to make the decision to spend your money and reserve your Elio. Better hurry because the 50% match ends 9/1/14. Great to see some of the younger generation realize the historical and economical significance of the Elio. Looking forward to your comments and participation in the forum. Welcome again and enjoy the Elio experience.

I'm not sure I agree with Jim H about the younger generation realizing the historical or economical significance....just like us old farts,,,,it's a cool ride, plain and simple.

Keeping in mind that the AF came from the Army Air Corps, maybe we can let you share our "birthday".
Army Air Corps sprang from the Signal Corps. Here's one more piece or trivia; As a strategy to stay out of Vietnam
I had to add an extra year to my enlistment and Join for 4 years the Army Security Agency. The enlistment Sergent promised they were not in Vietnam.
Turns out they were in Nam. As a matter of fact Today the library at Fort Devens ASA is named for Sp 4 James Thomas Davis, 3rd Radio Research Unit. He was the first American soldier to be killed in action in Vietnam on 22 December 1961. Go figure.
PS as luck would have it I was fortunate enough to not have to go. However if ordered I would have served and I know plenty that did. God Bless them and all who are faithful to America to this day. You who still buy the Media's version of what happened may God have mercy on your soles. If you have any doubts go to Nam today; They are begging to get State Side to this day. There needs to be a movie about the tragedy of boat people out of Vietnam.
