Maybe most of us will be in wheelchairs or walkers before we get our ELIO?
Naw just kiddin, I got the FAITH.
I can't really comment on anything until at least by end of this year! I've been patient like everybody else so far and while EM's wheels are still moving very, very, very slow....it's still going forward. With that said, by year's end, we will definitely know if another delay is forthcoming. Some of you more knowledgeable in car manufacturing have a better understanding of how long these E-builds and subsequent testing will take including the 100 pre-prod and it's testing in real world......before EM move on to actual production....if funding is acquired by then. At this time, I'll put it at "less likely" that my shiny new ELIO will be delivered by next year.

Interesting how we can have different takes with the same information, It seems to be moving quickly to me. E series commenced on time and will probably be completed by the end of summer leaving the Fall to complete testing and incorporate feedback from the testing as the production operations shifts to Shreveport for the December fleet 100. This is breakneck speed for a startup from my perspective.

I suppose we'll find out whose perspective was more accurate by this time next year. But I really think production cannot be delayed much more since contracts for the plant and with the Parish require action this year. More extensions will be difficult.

It's time to fish or cut bait.

I like that scenario better. The thing that bothers me is the "hand built" E-series. EM has not posted if they completed the "first" one and there are 25 more to go!!! I think EM mentioned that after the first one, they will do 3-4 at a time but it's still hand built and we're close to July! I'm curious if EM will post the result of the tests on all 25 whether it failed or not and how soon! But again, EM control the show and we're just the audience!:D

You are also right that they have the pressure to fulfill their obligation w/ Caddo and plant. Failure is not an option!;)

So now I hear we're gonna have to wait till 2018 to finally get our Elios?
Is this true?
I am glad that you asked this question. I am so unhappy with the start dates that have been given. I am very tired of the ridicules that I have received for over a year now. No one believes that the car will come.

Then show them some of the current news, the P5 unveiling at the L.A. Auto Show back on Nov.19th, 2015, show them the current stock options, then show them the pictures of the E-series Elio's being build; and let them read about the 100 fleet vehicles that will be done in December at the plant in Shreveport, LA and then ask them if they still don't believe it's happening. Include the 55,000 other "Elio Believers" that have reservation money in and ask them if they still think it's a scam.
There has been more things happening in the past 8 to 10 months then at any other time in Elio Motors existence.
Best proof, when you pull up in yours next summer, ask them if they still think it isn't happening.
