The idea of a Primed option is SMART for the many owners that may prefer a custom two-tone paint scheme, custom colors, or custom wraps. The Elio Prime or Primo.

I like the green. I've never owned a green car. Blue, red, black, and silver, but no green.

At this point I am leaning towards the Marshmellow (White). But if Yellow were to become an available color I would choose that

what's really a hoot, that almost two years after this thread began, we are still kicking this around.
We each know (I think) that if PE announced the E would only come in black (i.e.Henry Ford) we'd still buy 'em

Jerome mentioned, when I asked about yellow, that after production runs for awhile, they would look to replace whatever color was least chosen, with yellow being the replacement

Hmmmm! That might mean that some time later the discontinued color would make it more valuable.
Wouldn't that be ironic?
Discontinued because people didn't like it turns it into a collectors item.

is the Chevy 2 tone?, did they still have the gas cap behind the rear fin- I remember my dad's Impala -chrome with a twist handle that blended in perfectly.
