The SlingShotX is over $24K the Elio is under $7K ...... Your not crazy, your "practical" and "frugal" (or cheap and careful your choice )

I saw a review of the Slingshot in Jalopnik today (can't remember how I got to it now, that isn't in my normal web wandering territory). Anyway, the writer loved it, but admitted it was underpowered, hard to steer, hard to brake, hot, cheaply made, and didn't feel safe. I was a bit surprised. I thought the thing oozed power. and I'd have expected it to handle like a sports car.
