I've read that all 2016 cars have to have them.
According to this article, it says:
"The rule -- which would be final in 60 days -- would start phasing in on May 1, 2016 models and be at 100% May 1, 2018."

But that's for all "New" cars and trucks; doesn't address older cars and that's the majority of vehicles on the road.

The one part in the article that I just shook my head at "two parents that had backed over their own children, were suing the Obama Administration"
That goes to show what a sue happy society we live in, and how people refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.

Even when they have cameras installed, the driver still has to be observant enough and use them!

Try driving I10 east bound between El Paso and San Antonio. It gives new meaning to "miles and miles of more miles and miles".
Heh. Just did it on Friday! The gigantic tar and gravel divots outside of Balmorhea were alarming, though. They were tough enough to avoid with a car, so it probably would require zen-like concentration with a three-wheeler.

CPAP only works if you use it. It sounds like you are having problems with yours and someone offered to fix it. Pretty cool. While I hate that I have to use it, mine has made a huge difference in how I feel, how my memory is coming back... apparently, when you stop breathing, wake up, and then breathe again 97 times an hour, it isn't good. I took my machine in after three months and they made programming adjustments... much easier to use now. If only they could do the programming over the net and save me a trip. I mean, why would I care that some random person knows I didn't sleep well?

A CPAP could be a very important safety feature. Many wrecks are caused by sleeping at the wheel. Mine would not be applicable because it is 110V.

I posted something about this once before....

The option I want is making the car look as good as possible. That means getting rid of that ugly, black rear end and those dorky looking fenders. They had a great looking design a while back but changed it (rear end for cost saving and fenders for gas mileage... that's my guess anyway.) For those of us who don't squeeze every penny it would be nice to add some "style" to the car. Give us a chance to have something that looks a little less like a wennie-mobile.

Here's the rear end and fenders I want. Anyone else feel this way?

This is a very nice appearance. Could you add the right side rear door? It may require moving the B pillar forward 3-4 inches but nothing would be lost in function or safety.

fenders yes ... rear end, not so much .... road spray from rear tire would most definitely be an issue and rigging the rear so as to tow a trailer would be extremely difficult (if possible)
