last year the coverage by FOX was far better than whoever had it for the last half of the season .... hopefully when NBC picks it up next week things will improve

I agree with you on that; it was TNT and NBC.
TNT was terrible

talk about insult to injury .... its not bad enough having to watch a road course race, having the 18 win made it even worse ..

I agree, I was hoping for Boyer or Kurt to catch him and "nudge" him off into a corner.
Ragan was mixing it up with everyone, took Truex out, and moved a bunch of others; but when Edwards and Ragan went into the corner side by side, they both lost. Poor Larson must have broken something in the suspension for as squirrely as he got, he ended up back in 17th.
I felt it was a good race except for Shrub winning; I wanted Kurt to win.

Correction: TNT & ABC/ESPN. TNT sucked, ESPN/ABC just average at best. NBC has a pretty good crew lined up, I hope they put on a great show.

I wasn't a fan of his when he was driving .... pretty much feel the same way now .... next year Jeff Gordon is supposed to be in the booth .... it will be interesting to see how well he does

Hey, be nice to the old man.
He was one hell of a racer in his day, 84 wins, 3 championships, 13 Busch Series wins he was awesome in his day.
And talk, that's why he got the nickname "Jaws "
But I do agree, he needs to be out of the booth (like 3 years ago); he is better than Rusty, Dale Jarrett or little brother Mikey.

JEBar you get your wish this weekend for 2 and 3 wide racing. I don't mind watching Daytona on TV but it's a terrible track to be at to see a race.
Same with Talladega; good on TV poor in person. You can't see the whole track; well you can sort of, just not very well.

when it comes to seeing the truck much the same can be said for Sonoma ... the image of Darrell Waltrip Icky Shuffle pretty well sums it up .... he was one heck of a driver

He has had some trial runs in the Xfinity Series already this year. Was really nice to have a fresh perspective in the booth. Given an off season to prepare I think J Gordon will do well. He has always handled himself well with the media and looks good on camera. Think he will be a breath of fresh air next year.
