I do think the idea of having a steerable rear wheel would greatly aid in fitting into some stunningly small parking spaces; it could be a boon for finding free parking! I see so many half-spaces it makes me angry when I have to drive past 3-5 free half spaces and pay $5 in a garage, or worse.

It does mean more cost, but dang would that be useful!

Wow , off topic , but where on earth can you park in a garage for $5 !!!!!! ? NYC is $40/hour with one hour minimum .
