This is very good to see from Gas2. Jo Borras, who usually writes Elio related articles for Gas2, has definitely now moved from skeptic to neutral on the Elio project and now we are starting to see that reflected in other coverage from Gas2.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a wider trend where as more development news comes out the coverage starts leaning away from skeptical, pie in the sky, to a more balanced neutral approach.

It's dated Oct 21st, and Paul says 'passed the first of three hurdles'. I wonder what that means exactly.
Is it just that successful re-submission after getting the first rejection for some required content? Or something else?

WHOA! That's huge. The bombshell is at the end there where he says that they got the $185 million they needed. This is happening, people. This is HAPPENING! I'm so stoked!!!

As I say, the video says "passed the first of three hurdles", not that there is a final approval. I don't know what that means, other than it's still in progress and is progressing.

Oh, yeah. Understood, but the $185 million is HUGE. The rest, I would think would be a smaller hurdle than $185,000,000.00

KegerChris, read our lips...
Elio Motors...has...not...gotten...any...part...of...185M...from...the...federal...government. None.
Nor have they gotten any loan approval or any indication that a loan will be approved for any amount anytime in the future.
Some here (myself included) even think that the "1st of 3 hurdles" mentioned was simply EM's submission of the application.
Some of us think the journalists threw that mysterious comment in to "fluff" the article.
We think they might have done it for lack of any other crowd stirring-news about the loan.
